I have added a download section to the site.  In it I will generally be placing binary distributions of various open-source packages that I build personally (usually because the standard distributions aren't as current as I would otherwise like.

I am placing them online on the off-chance that others (who don't have an interest in creating their own builds) may be interested in using them.

I have added OpenID support to the site.

It is a cool technology that allows people to make use of "registered function" without having to register - because they already have somewhere else, for example: LiveJournal. Which in the case of my site means that any comments you post don't need to be anonymous (marked as "not verified").

It's taken a couple of weeks, but I think I am finished with all the layout changes and tweaks to my site... well I think it looks better anyway.

The site had something of a meltdown last night while I was upgrading it to the new version of Drupal.

What, indeed. If I'm brutally honest with myself then this site exists for no other reason than I felt that I should have one.

However, now that I do have one I have come up with all sorts of other reasons:
