Someone has reinvented the wheel, and patented it.

To be fair, it looks the inventor is attempting to find alternatives for "run flat" technologies, but some of the claims - at least to my understanding - seem to cover what we consider to be a standard wheel.  i.e. one of those round objects we have been using since about the 5th millennium BC.
