Flash Mob in Liverpool Street - The T-Mobile Dance

Last Thursday at 11:00 there was an excellent example of the flash mob form in Liverpool Street train station in London where most of the concourse starting dancing. I am calling it an "example of the form" because it was actually organised by T-Mobile, but aside from that it had all the hallmarks: A group of people who turn up, do something, melt away afterwards, and most important of all; the general public knows nothing about it.

Seems to be a week for them... Here is an interview in New York Magazine with the Vid editor Luminosity (a Vid is like an AMV but with live action video).

BTW, if you haven't seen any of Luminosity's work go check it out, she's very good.

I see that the Japan Times has run a story on AMVs and Remix Culture - both topics that have been near and dear to my heart for a number of years.

It is quite a good article.
