Burks, Early Computer Theorist, dies&lt;/a&gt;.  Burks worked on Eniac, (&lt;a href=&quot;http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arthur_W._Burks&quot;&gt;amongst other things&lt;/a&gt;) and wasn&#039;t one of the &amp;quot;old guard&amp;quot; so much as he was part of the &amp;quot;original guard&amp;quot;.  I guess there aren&#039;t many left.
